Nothing is broken with paste.debian.net ...
It's just that they added some restrictions:

You need to make sure your content is at least 3 lines long and your
username is 10 chars or shorter, otherwise it gets rejected.
Marking as Won't Fix as there's much we can do until pastebinit know how
to deal with xml-rpc (and have a generic way of doing it).
