Hi Schmidt, could you please try the following:
1) https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules
2) add this line to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
options snd-hda-intel model=hp-laptop
3) reboot and test. Is everything working now? If so, I'll put a quirk in the
driver so that the next version of Ubuntu will have this working by default.
