Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: twinkle

I use MS LifeChat USB headset. It plays my audio in Ubuntu Maverick,
Lucid, Karmic just fine, Skype works fine with it as well, but I have a
problem with twinkle.

ALSA: plughw:1,0: Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 (USB audio) for the
speaker, mic and ringtone in audio settings, I get the following error
when trying to make a call:

Cannot access the speaker (ALSA: plughw:1,0)
Cannot access the microphone (ALSA: plughw:1,0)

And the log shows:
Critical: Cannot open ALSA driver for PCM playback: Device or resource busy
Critical: Cannot open ALSA driver for PCM playback: Device or resource busy

The only solution I have found is to install PulseAudio Volume Control
and disable my internal audio. But it shouldn't be like that, since it
works elsewhere.

** Affects: twinkle (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
