Public bug reported: Binary package hint: democracyplayer
Democracy player currently depends on Mozilla assumably for its HTML rendering. If this is true, it should use a HTML renderer that is packaged with Ubuntu such as GtkHTML or Firefox, so the user doesn't have to install a second web browser in order to use the program. Democracy Player also uses scrollbars which do not use the system's Gtk theme. This is likely caused by its Mozilla dependency which also suffers from this. It seems Democracy Player can indeed be compiled against Firefox: https://develop.participatoryculture.org/trac/democracy/ticket/4325 Using Ubuntu Edgy Eft ** Affects: democracyplayer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Democracy Player should not depend on Mozilla https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/104850 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
