Thanks for the speedy reply. I've just reinstalled gnome-games and still have the same problem.
Have run it as root from a terminal with same result as well. No other user set up on my machine to try it with. BTW - I'm not the only one that has seen this - found someone on a forum complaining of the same fault, but he had no replies. It isn't the end of the world, just strange.
