Given the original reporters impression that this is faulty hardware
related, I will be closing this bug. Those of you who seem to be
experiencing this: please file a new bug for your individual hardware so
that we can narrow the causes. You can use 'ubuntu-bug linux' from the
terminal window or run apport interactively.
