As explained by Till hp-setup asks CUPS for PPDs which are generated from
foomatic-db-hpijs, I have verified this with my HP DeskJet 3820 printer. This
was fixed in hplip 1.7.3-0ubuntu1.
maco and Enola Gay please remove hpijs-ppds, if you still have this problem
please attach the output of the printingbug info script for some basic
information about your printing setup. The printingbug info script can be found
here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PrintingBugInfoScript.
