Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: update-manager
On ubuntu natty alpha1, when the update-manager asks to perform a partial
upgrade, the distibution upgrade window runs for a while before displaying the
following error information :
"Can't install 'ubuntu-desktop'
It was impossible to install a required package. Please report this as a bug. "
(see screenshot)
So here I am....
Though the partial upgrade goes on with lists of package to remove and upgrade,
in the list of the package to remove is unity, which seems problematic to me,
as I still want to use the ubuntu desktop edition ( and not the ubuntu classic
desktop).
I don't know if removing unity will prevent me from doing that but I did not
see any replacement package on the install list so I am not upgrading from now
on...
