Binary package hint: dv4l
I was successfully using dv4lstart (provided by dv4l) to present my
firewire camcorder as a V4L device that skype could use in lucid.
I recently upgraded to maverick, and this no longer works. skype gets a
single image from the camcorder, then stops updating.
the issue appears to be related to changes in the firewire stack in the
new kernel.
