+ I have encountered this twice now installing on a DELL inspiron 9200
+ from purchased CD 6.06 LTS:

+ I boot from purchased ubuntu CD, 6.06 LTS
+ At desktop I eject the USB drive I will be installing to - 100GB hitachi (I
was having problems in the formatting stage, unmounting the drive seemed to fix
that)
+ I click install and choose to completely format the external USB drive, 1
partition
+ I watch it install until about 99% completion when I get a message saying
there was a GRUB installation error
+ I choose continue and seconds later get the error message below:
