I was able to upgrade to the newest Ubuntu version (10.10) and sometimes i was
able to boot the newest kernel (the one of 10.10) but suddenly the kernel panic
reapears :(
Unfortunately i'm not able to boot older kernel versions prior 2.6.30 because
udev or initramfs is not able to mount the root-filesystem.
Well, i really must use a newer kernel version to get my ethernet working ...
what should i do now?
If I compile the kernel myself, which modules do i have to remove?
