Just an update, Mint 10 is affected, Mint Debian and Debian 6 RC1 aren't. Have tried a few more non-ubuntu distros since this report and still can't find another distro that is effected. Also I filed this bug against pulseaudio but I'm not completely sure if it's correct, if anyone that knows more about linux audio has a better idea of what would cause this please speak up. Thanks
