I set up thinkfinger according to
http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/How_to_enable_the_fingerprint_reader_with_ThinkFinger
It works well with GDM (login), unlock screen, the Software-Center and the
Updater.
In all those instances, I am asked to enter my password or "swipe finger". If I
do the latter it works just fine.
When running a command via sudo in the terminal, I do not even get the option
to "swipe finger". It's just as before.
Same goes for any application using gksu (i.e. Synaptic).
