FROM UPSTREAM: The support for such functionality is in the gtk+
already. You can find it here:

print-settings-load-file (and below it). It works well in evince for
example (just tested on evince-2.32.0 in Fedora 14). You should file a
feature request against the application which doesn't work as you
expect.
Now I'm setting this bug to invalid and we should file a feature request
against the application which doesn't work as expected.
