Roland, Please be respectful to developers. We spend a lot of time fixing a number of issues, and just want to know more about the details for the issues you are experiencing.
As a workaround, you may wish to disable automatic rendering of messages as HTML, which you can do at the application level by choosing to only ever show plain text, prefer plain text, etc; whether to load images from the internet, and whether to show HTML parts of emails as attachments. Those are all under Edit->Preferences, Message Display. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software by following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a bugwatch that will inform us about its status.
