Hi Alex, I can take care of forwarding the bug itself, if you'd be able to follow up with the upstream developers.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org//show_bug.cgi?id=33357 Please subscribe yourself to the bug (add yourself to the CC list). They may ask for more info or request you test stuff. In particular, they may want you to test newer versions of the kernel, X, and -nouveau; the xorg-edgers PPA has somewhat newer X stuff, and I think there are snapshot packages of newer kernels you can find if they do. Or, build the upstream components from the git trees if you prefer to test the absolute latest bits. Btw, looking at your screen photo, I see you're still using unity. Unfortunately one of the side-effects of uninstalling libgl1-mesa-dri- experimental is that you don't have the 3D functionality that Unity requires. As a workaround for the time being, I would suggest running with Classic Desktop instead and turning off compiz (kill -9 `pidof compiz`), which should take care of the graphical corruption. If your system still freezes under those conditions, that would be worth mentioning on the upstream bug report. ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #33357 http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33357 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/696104 Title: nvidia 320m locks up -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
