Public bug reported:
after selected "Unity 2D" and entered desktop, no window border is shown.
i have 2 open a tty and start metacity using "metacity -d 0.0"
and, when clicked the app icon in unity-2d-launcher twice to browse all running
windows, no window border is shown either, with the following error logged:

I had the problem using xorg and drivers from xorg-edgers's PPA, and now
downgraded to the version in official repository, but the bug still
exists.
