Some test I have done : suppress the VPN connection exit network-manager-pptp and add a new VPN : same result suppress the VPN connection exit network-manager-pptp reboot and add a new VPN : same result remove pptp package, reboot, clean apt-get, install pptp add VPN : same result I can make more test, if needed.
