I assumed it was Ubuntu getting very anti-Windows, consequently I
rebooted into Windows (I have dual boot) and used specific software
there instead. I tried to install software published by Oxford
University Press and Macmillan Language House publishers, only to find
this problem. So I assumed the default now would be to block all .exe
files. If it is a bug, then it can reduce my dependency on Windows if
fixed.
