I don't understand anything of the shutdown procedure. I found this bug report because I recognized orphaned inodes in my / home partition after shutdown. (Ubuntu 10.04 on 32 and 64bit hardware) My question is: When this bug (orphaned inodes) will be fixed for the /-partition, will it also prevent orphaned inodes after shutdown in the /home partition??
