I tried to import video from a Sony mini-DV camcorder but the camera
doesn't seem to be recognize by the HP 8440p. I tried with both new and
old firewire stacks without success.

The bus seems to get reseted in loop until I disconnect the camcorder.
I successfully could import the video using a Lenovo T61p which also
runs Maverick (and probably the same kernel too).
