Same thing for KNetworkManager and an rtl8180 based wireless card.  The
problem in my case is that NetworkManager only uses wireless extensions
for WPA, which means that the driver for the wireless card must support
WE18 or higher to work with NetworkManager and WPA.  It would be pretty
simple to rewrite NetworkManager to support everything which
wpa_supplicant does, but the NetworkManager developers say that any
driver which does not support WE18 for WPA is legacy, needs to be
rewritten and they will not support it.  You can agree or disagree here,
but it is their application, so I suppose they are entitled to decide
there.
