Public bug reported:

Connecting to a password-less open wireless LAN within the same day is ok, no
matter how many times the laptop is put to sleep during th day.

But the next day, after the computer was left in sleep mode the whole
night, the log window reports that the connection to the open wireless
LAN is almost successful, but times out after a few DHCP requests.

No matter what one does--such as modprobe -r the driver, and then back
in--, the problem persists. Only rebooting fixes the problem.

This is a macbook 5,5 that didn't use to have this problem. The problem
appeared about 3 weeks ago or so, perhaps coincident with the upgrade to
the linux kernel 2.6.32-27-generic (but I am not sure).

lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS
Release: 10.04

Help very appreciated.

Albert
