In a next attempt, I tried to install SliTaz3.0 into sda1, which brought
its bootloader grub-legacy (installed to MBR of sda). I intended to use
Slitaz for maintainig the main bootloader which would be grub-legacy
then.

Installing grub2 into the PBR of sda6 failed again, exactly the same
results as above.

Conclusion: grub2 doesn't care about any other distro installed, doesn't
care about any kind of boot code in the MBR... it just refuses to be
installed in the PBR of sda6.

Maybe it would install to the PBR of a primary partition, as sda6 is a
logical one...?

I'd say this is one or even two bugs:
-Grub2 doesn't install, where it should
-Grub2 gives a wrong result message
