I checked out the instructions and installed some of the dependencies, but .......it would probably take me as much time to figure this out & find time to do it as waiting for the next version to come along. I have very limited Linux experience, and no programming ability. Experimenting with different encoders at my work machine, I found some combinations that worked (like the "not recommended" ones). So possibly I'm just doing it wrong. I'll RTFM, try more encoders, and see what happens for now.
