Thanks a lot for reporting this, however a paper cut should be a small
design flaw that has a trivial solution. This bug is the result of some
problem with the way Ubuntu interacts with the computer hardware.
meaning a fix is likely to involve working on or near the kernel, which
is the opposite of trivial at the best of times.
