Hi, Instead of opening a new bug I'm bumping this one.
On the very same netbook (Samsung N210) with the last daily-live media for Natty, a similar issue happens to me : Despite some keys combinations like Fn + Left/Right work (that properly adjust the volume) Fn + Up/Down does change the brightness of the screen which seem to be stuck at 0%. On 10.10 I had to install a package called samsung-tools and samsung- backlight from Voria's PPA. Those packages does not appear to be merged with mainline at the time of writing. Also with 10.10, even if I was able to adjust backlight after that, from time to time the screen start blinking so I don't consider this as a proper solution. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/645624 Title: Samsung : Brightness controls don't work -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
