One culprit that may (or may not) be causing this is the Linksys wireless adapter (as I posted in another bug, internal wireless does not work on this laptop out of the box). Lately I had been unplugging the device every time before I put machine to sleep, and in 30+ times it only hung up once. thus it does not eliminate the issue, but did cut down on frequency.
