In my latest tests for Linaro alpha 2, booting from my SD card works
reliably but then the kernel can't find the MMC partition to use as the
root filesystem. Instead, it frequently drops me to an initramfs
prompt:

Gave up waiting for root device. Common problems:
- Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline)
- Check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?)
- Check root= (did the system wait for the right device?)
- Missing modules (cat /proc/modules; ls /dev)
ALERT! /dev/disk/by-uuid/67e89fc2-af26-4261-ad6c-ec71edd440a5 does not exist.
Dropping to shell

Removing and reinserting the card causes it to be detected:

at which point I can exit the initramfs shell and the system comes up
fine.
