Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: software-center
Problem:
If a package A will be installed as a dependency of another package B, it is
still possible to click the "install" button on the package A. Then after a
while, a dialog will appear, that tells me that package A is already installed
and that "there isn't any need for an installation" which has to be acknowliged
with 'OK'.
But there isn't any need for this dialog as well.
Fix:
Several fixes are possible:
1) Don't show the dialog, since it will not change anything.
2.) Don't show the 'Install' button on packages that will be installed.
** Affects: software-center (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
