Just tried this now and it looks like hibernate has been disabled or
something like that...I can grab some more details tomorrow when I have
a bit more time, what info is most important? I am running Natty now on
this machine.

Also as you can probably see this machine has been through several
upgrades without a fresh install (all the way from edgy or feisty I
think). So if it is likely that there are config issues that could cause
the issue I can also try from a live CD (not sure how old the latest
natty pre release is at the moment...)
