** Description changed:
My USB scanner (Canon CanoScan Lide 25) doesn't respond to any commands when
it's connected via USB 3.0 port. Xsane reports "scanner missing" but I can see
it with lsusb:

In /var/log/messages I get:

After connecting it to USB2.0/esata port everything works fine.
