Holy Jesus Christ dude, last night I stumbled into the "class=" with the
window-brightness trap described in the last post, and it took me an
hour and a half to figure out what the hell to do. The only remedy that
I found was to `gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/compiz` , which
resets all Compiz settings.

Something needs to be done with this ASAP. If an average, unskilled user
runs into this problem and can't figure out how to fix it, it basically
bricks Ubuntu for them.

Ubuntu Desktop 10.10 32-bit
compizconfig-settings-manager: Installed: 0.8.2-0ubuntu1
