Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: sound-juicer

Running an updated ubuntu Natty from Feb 5th

If I run sound juicer just as "sound-juicer" it complains "No CD-ROM
drivers found"

If i specify my drive using "sound-juicer -d /dev/scd0" it complains
that the HAL daemon may not be running.

Isn't HAL deprecated now?

Either way even if I start hald I still get the HAL daemon may not be
running error when I run "sound-juicer -d /dev/scd0"
