Ok, so your laptop has a yellow jack, but as you can see in the file https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/710133/+attachment/1817112/+files/Card0.Codecs.codec.0.txt you posted, nowhere does it say "Color = yellow", so linux has no way of knowing that you have a yellow jack. It will take both time and patience to figure that out manually, but it's possible. I'm not sure I have that time at the moment.
> The windows driver automatically detects if something is plugged to the jacks and based on the order it start to use it. That would be ideal, but unfortunately Linux does not have that functionality yet. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/710133 Title: Alsa does not recognize Realtek ACL1200 5.1 sound -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
