I'm sorry, but I donìt found the directory /var/crash : it there isn't. 
Probably because when empathy crashs it doesn't show any pop-up message 
about the crash. So I try to report the bug with the 'ubuntu-bug 
empathy' command.

Sorry for my english, but at the moment I don't manage to replicate the 
bug...
