Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Using a system installed to the hard disk from i386 livecd 20070411:

I copied one of the files from the Examples directory to my desktop (oo-
about-ubuntu-ru.rtf, as it happens). I then double-clicked on it to
open it. Oo.o produced its usual "starting" window.

While that was happening, I double-clicked on the original copy of the
same file in the Examples directory. Then, when the first Oo.o document
window appeared, I immediately clicked the window manager close button
in the top right.

The Oo.o document window disappeared and was replaced with a window
headed "OpenOffice.org Document Recovery" telling me that oo.o had
crashed. There was no list of files to be recovered under "The
following files are to be recovered". I tried to close this window too
but with no effect and now Nautilus tells me "OpenOffice.org 2.2 is not
responding" and indeed it is failing to redraw its window.

Looking in ps showed an instance of soffice.bin apparently waiting for
something (not using CPU and not stopped). I sent it a SIGQUIT and the
stuck window disappeared.

** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
