Binary package hint: openoffice.org
I double-clicked on one of the Examples (oo-trig.xls). It opened in
oo.o normally. When I got the window, I selected a cell (left-click)
and started to type some numbers. Oo.o complained (via a pop-up
dialogue) that the document had been opened in read-only mode. However,
when I clicked the "window close" control oo.o offered to save the file.
I said "Save" and oo.o remained open with no indication of the error;
repeating the close, "Save", attempt had no further effect. Saying
"Discard" allowed me to close oo.o.
