Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: inkscape

I just installed Dapper on a blank partition on my notebook yesderday
and found that inkscape would not install. I get the error:

  inkscape: Depends: libglibmm-2.4-1c2 (>= 2.8.0) but it is not going to be
installed
            Depends: libgtkmm-2.4-1c2 (>= 2.8.0) but it is not going to be
installed
            Depends: libsigc++-2.0-0c2 (>= 2.0.2) but it is not going to be
installed

I tried installing the last package (libsigc++-2.0-0c2) and this
happens:

The following packages will be REMOVED:
  aptitude libsigc++-2.0-0c2a ubuntu-base ubuntu-minimal

After removing these packages, inkscape installs without problem. But
apparently it is not compatible with ubuntu-minimal/ubuntu-base, as they
have conflicting dependencies.

** Affects: inkscape (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Untriaged
         Status: Unconfirmed
