This still seems to be an issue in 10.10. Isn't there a command that
launches KPackageKit with specific packages to install? I thought I'd
seen this in other areas where there were buttons that would do nothing
without them being installed.

Anyway, installed kdenetwork-filesharing, samba and deleted the kdecache
and it worked.
