Public bug reported:

Headphones were working fine until I ran
sudo apt-get install libdvdread4 && sudo
/usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh
Now they do not work, do not stop the line output from working, and appear
greyed out in AlsaMixer. It is as if the headphone socket had ceased to exit.
