I feel like you don't understand. When I clicked the DVD menu button, and viewed the menu, VLC silently failed to play the title I clicked on in the menu. Opening the DVD menu should clear out any pre-selected title. If VLC is not going to play whatever I click on in the menu, it should refuse to display the menu. This is simply a case of broken UI that fails without explanation nor apparent reason.
