 Gnome disks-admin bug
Description:

   1. I found the 'Enable' button in gnome disks-admin did not behave in the
way that makes sense. It should be greyed out when 'Access Path' is set to
'none' or a path that does not exist. See picture 1.
   2. The same as the 'Disable' button here when you browse to the root ('/')
partition. See picture 2. It should be greyed out. I don't think you can
disable or unmount '/' when you are using it.
   3. I have a floppy drive. It appears in gnome disks-admin. The problem is
that it should show the correct information on the right side when you click on
the floppy on the left side. See picture 3.

Reproduce steps for item 1:

   1. Install a new hard disk in the PC
   2. Boot Ubuntu 6.06 and start gnome disks-admin
   3. The disks-admin detects the new hard drive. The default 'Access Path' is
set to 'none'

Observed: The 'Enable' button is not greyed out. You can still click on the it,
but it does not do anything. Users can type random strings in 'Access Path'
Expected: The 'Enable' button is greyed out. You can't click on it. Users get
warnings if the 'Access Path' is invalid.

Reproduce steps for item 2:

   1. Boot Ubuntu 6.06 and start gnome disks-admin
   2. Go to the disk and partition of your root ('/') 'Access Path'

Observed: 'Disable' button is not greyed out. You can still click on the it,
but it does not do anything. Gnome disks-admin allows you to type random
strings in the 'Access Path'. You can set it to '/shit' and click 'Disable', it
reverts to '/'.
Expected: 'Disable' button is greyed out. When users put an invalid path in
'Access Path', disks-admin should warn the user. You can implement that check
at the moment when the focus goes off the input field. At least give a warning
message before allowing users to modify the 'Access Path' to things other than
'/'. For example, a dialog like: if you set the 'Access Path' to /shit, I will
write to /etc/fstab:
/dev/hda3 /shit ext3 defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1
Do you want to proceed?

Reproduce steps for item 3:

Boot Ubuntu 6.06 and start gnome disks-admin
Click on the left side a hard drive
Click on the floppy
Observed: The floppy's storage property on the right side is not updated. It's
still the hard drive's property.
Expected: The floppy's storage property gets displayed correctly.

I suggest put a debug output window somewhere and let users choose to
enable or by default disable it.

** Affects: gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Untriaged
         Status: Unconfirmed
