Do you really think this is a worthwhile SRU? Hardy is a fairly unattractive development platform now, as it's already quite old. If developers have lived with ggcov being broken for three years, they either moved to a newer release or don't miss it at all. So this isn't the kind of bug where we should spend development and testing resources for.
I reject the package because of the improvements stated in 2, and the version number should be build1, not ubuntu1, as there are no source modifications.
