I guess the trackpad on the Z560 is ok, even without the nomux option. But the point is that this could be related to for example this nomux parameter not being used when it should be. Or some other parameter for the i8042.
I have had some key repetition errors on a Compal FL91 laptop. And that one also beeing the one having the errors with left mouse button beeing unusable. The keyboard repetition problem have happend at least 3 times, in a short period of time (maybe less than 15 minutes) The result was 10, 11 and 12 equal chars (counting the first one also). This was on Ubuntu 10.04 Could be unrelated issues.
