Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: usb-creator
I've created a bootable USB stick from the latest natty-desktop-
amd64.iso.
Steps to repro:
1. Select the natty-desktop-amd64.iso
2. Erase the USB stick (an 8GB Kingston DataTraveller)
3. Increase reserved extra space to 4.0GB
4. Click Make Startup Disk
5. Boot from the USB stick
6. Perform an apt-get update and apt-get upgrade
7. Run dpkg -s with a package that was upgraded (in my case, I picked
"findutils")
8. Note the version number (mine was 4.4.2-1ubuntu3)
9. Reboot from the USB stick
10. Run dpkg -s on the same package
Expected result: The same version number is displayed
Actual result: An earlier version number is displayed, indicating the
package update was not persistent
