$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 10.10 Release: 10.10 but i really was trying to force a distribution upgrade. What i did was replace lucid with maverick on sources.lst and try to aptitude update and aptitude upgrade(and then dist-upgrade) I also got (E:Error, PkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages) while trying to upgrade through any means i tried...
