after the last lot of updates to unity and compiz this fault is now
affecting libreoffice.
exactly the same problem and steps to reproduce it.
i think it might be the patch to fix invisible windows and dead zones.
since this patch was reintroduced i haven't had the invisible windows or
dead zones but i do now get this bug.
just seems strange that when the patch wasn't in place it worked and now
that it is back it doesn't.
