Ironically I am reopening this as I have just experienced it on the
20070411 release candidate. Both the Live CD and the Complete install
will boot up to show as not connected. Opening firefox and browsing
works fine though, clicking on the nm-applet and forcing a reconnect
will correct the way the icon is displayed.

"Netzwerk-Manager-Applet 0.6.4" in the upper right corner shows always "no
network connection" but I have one!
