One problem is that I cannot unmount my partition /dev/sdb1 inside GParted. I can unmount second and third one, but not the first one with strange label.
I successfully unmounted /dev/sdb1 manually with umount command. $ sudo umount /dev/sdb1 After that I tried to change partition label manually issuing the following command: $ sudo e2lable /dev/sdb1 BOOKS but I got the following response: e2label: Bad magic number in super-block while trying to open /dev/sdb1 Couldn't find valid filesystem superblock. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/695283 Title: GParted resets label after partition resizing -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
